3 Rules For Getting & Maintaining Glowing Skin
The skin is the largest organ of our body and it also shows the most symptoms when it is not well taken care of. A lot of us turn to the nearest drug store when we think our skin is not in the best condition. The drug store may offer a solution, but these are not healthy for your skin. In order to get glowing skin, here are three rules to get you started on the road to beautiful skin.
One: Don't buy any of the anti-aging or wrinkle creams that you see being advertised on television and in magazines. While these may be effective at the moment, it will not give you long term results and they can actually cause damage to your skin. They contain harmful chemicals and they are more prone to clogging your pores. This may cause breakouts and even cause permanent skin damage. So, when I say 'buy no', I really mean it!
Two: Another important rule to get & sustain glowing skin is to drink plenty of water. Our skin is 90% water and therefore, it needs adequate hydration to look good and feel smooth and supple. So make sure you drink at least 8 glasses every day. Also, avoid any drinks that contain high levels of sugar. These can dehydrate your body and make your skin even drier than before.
Three: Eating healthy can also play a big role in having beautiful skin. Your skin is mostly water and therefore, eating foods that are rich in nutrients like fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and leafy greens can help you to retain moisture and keep your skin hydrated. Stay away from those which contain excessive oils and fatty acids, as these cause your skin to become oily and clog pores.
Four: You should never skip moisturizer. This is another important rule to get & sustain glowing skin. Even if you have a moisturizer on your face all the time, you should apply it all over your body once you reach the neck area. This helps to seal the moisture into your skin, and prevent any evaporation.
Five: Do not ignore your sunscreen. Your skin needs protection from the harsh UV rays of the sun. This is especially true during the summer months when the sun's rays are more powerful. Avoid sitting under the direct sunlight, especially if you need to stay indoors for long periods of time. And wear sunscreen lotions to protect your skin, even on extremely sunny days.
